Research & Development
Overview
To enhance the performance of domestic building products, the Institute carries out comprehensive investigation, research, evaluation, verification, and certification. Through this, it realizes a performance-centered building production process, disseminates it widely to form a sound building culture, and serves public-life safety and the public interest.
To achieve this purpose, Article 4 (1) of the Articles of Association stipulates investigation, research & development, and support programs for the building performance grade and evaluation system.
Implementing Bodies
Research for building performance enhancement is led mainly by the following organizations.
Expert Committee
The Expert Committee, composed of specialists in each field, leads research for building performance enhancement.
Regional IBP Centers
Regional (city/province) IBP centers nationwide conduct R&D in connection with local sites.
